David Luiz completed his move from Arsenal to Chelsea on transfer  deadline day (Picture: Getty ) David Luiz insists he left  Chelsea  because his cycle at the west London club had come to a natural end. The 32-year-old spent seven years at Stamford Bridge across two trophy-laden spells before joining  Arsenal  on transfer deadline day in an £8million deal. Luiz was a pivotal figure in  Maurizio Sarri ’s side which won the Europa League and finished third in the Premier League last season, but the Brazilian was said to be concerned his first team opportunities would be limited under Frank Lampard. The former PSG defender was dropped for last Saturday’s friendly against Borussia Monchengladbach and was subsequently told to train away from the first team on Wednesday amid concerns he had become a disruptive influence. The playoff draw for the 2019/20 Champions League has been conducted on Monday, ahead of the third qualifying round matches this week Last season’s semi-finalists Ajax Amsterdam will take on APOEL Nicosia or Qarabag for a Champions League group stage spot, if they overcome PAOK in the third qualifying round. Ajax takes on Greek champions PAOK in the first leg of the third qualifying round of Europe’s elite club competition on Tuesday, with the return leg set to take place in Amsterdam next week.
